Knicks Acquire Eddy Curry This trade is very bittersweet for me. Curry is a very raw talent yet the reason he was traded is because he wouldn't admit to a DNA test. Last season he rode the pine for the last 13 games and the playoffs with an irregular heartbeat. It's only mine and the Knicks luck if this guy dies on the court ala Reggie Lewis or Hank Gathers. I am also sad to see Michael Sweetney go. They gave up on him way too fast and he was going to be a starter this year. I guarantee he goes to Chicago and completely outperforms Curry. I am though, happy to see Tim Thomas go. He was about as good as Charles Smith on his worst day. Although he may not ever wear an NYK jersey it is ironic that Antonio Davis is with the team. He was a real thorn in my side with his days in Indiana and Toronto. The ultimate positive to this deal is the fact that the Knicks did not have to ship rookie David Lee. As the Post states, " LEE WAS APPLE OF BULLS' EYE." But because of Curry's heart problem Chicago had no choice and took the Knick plankton of Sweetney and Thomas. I am optimistic about this season, I just hope the team doesn't expect things to fall in their laps. I just want to put this in my blog no so we can refer back to it if things don't work out. Stephon Marbury was quoted as saying

"I think we're going to be a great team."
